Integrated Fire Systems

In power generation and oil & gas equipment applications, combustion fuels, lubricating and hydraulic control oil systems, generator cooling systems, and pipeline transmission products are generally the most common fire hazard risks. Another well-known operating hazard, especially on gas turbine applications, is the powerful vacuum effect present at combustion air intake. High concentration flammable vapor clouds or leaks near the combustion air intake can have disastrous results due to pre-ignition within the compressor section. In short, the fire hazards associated with power generation and oil & gas projects are significant and warrant an integrated fire protection approach that establishes multiple lines of defense, including:

  • Engineered fire prevention design
  • Reliable and fast detection of flammable gas leak / vapor and fire
  • NFPA 72 compliant fire suppression using fixed automatic extinguishing systems
  • Emergency equipment shutdown capability

As a world class integrator of fire systems for energy applications, KEVTA Fire Systems provides these solutions, supporting project and standard product design activities, selecting detection, suppression and control equipment, and supporting integration into equipment monitoring and controls systems.
