Prosafe Abo FPSO
Located between OML 120 and 121 in the deepwaters offshore Nigeria, the Abo field began production in 2003. Located in water depths ranging from 500 meters to 800 meters, the Abo central field was the first deepwater field to come on-stream offshore Nigeria. Converted by the Keppel Shipyard in Singapore from a Suez Max, the Abo FPSO has a storage capacity of 900,000 barrels of oil and an oil treatment capacity of 45,000 barrels per day. The vessel can also inject up to 30,000 barrels per day of water and 35 MMcf/d of natural gas. KEVTA Fire Systems supplied fire protection equipment for power machinery utilized on this project.
