At the beginning of our lean journey in 2005, KEVTA Fire Systems set out to be the most efficient supplier of industrial fire systems in the world, and we believe we are well on our way to achieving that goal. KEVTA Fire Systems has the benefit of being embedded within ROC Industries, a world class manufacturing organization. As such, KEVTA has implemented a lean model based upon the Toyota Production System, but adapted to meet the unique requirements of a systems integrator. Since initiating our lean journey, we have markedly improved safety, quality, velocity and value and we are performing at world class levels in numerous functions.
Key Features of ROC Lean Manufacturing
- Waste Elimination - Drive for the continuous and relentless elimination of waste in all processes with priority on safety and quality-related wastes.
- Pull - Use Pull replenishment to only build what is needed, when it is needed.
- Drive Standard Work - Standardize tasks and utilize common processes as the foundation for kaizen.
- Level Load - Balance the workload to level production and reduce process variability.
